SUBJECT: At The Movies
Hi Joel, and Stephen,
Do you think the full length feature movie is going the way of the dinosaur?
I used to be a regular cinema goer but in the last few years I haven’t found a single movie which I think deserves the £15 price of a ticket. Normally there is at least one movie which captures my interest, but I honestly think the last one was The Force Awakens. (2015)
I appreciate there have been all sorts of strikes, and issues within Hollywood, but it seems recently all the effort has been going into the short-streamed series. I’m a big star wars fan and have really enjoyed the series that have been released like Andor, Obi-wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka.
(I just can’t get on with the Marvel or DC universe so am not interested in any of the movies or mini-series).
Do you think this is the next evolution of the entertainment industry or do you think the full movie could make a comeback? Will there ever be a Non-Marvel, Non-DC or Non-Star Wars blockbuster that is worth the full red-carpet movie experience. I would be interested in your thoughts.
Really great show, keep up the amazing work
