Hey Joel,
As I said, I took my five year old son to see Big Hero 6 this past weekend. Overall, I really liked the movie, it looked great, well paced, full of action. I think low battery Baymax may be one of the best things I’ve seen on screen in quite a while. The team did a great job making San Fransokyo look just like San Francisco with a Japanese twist. Character designs were great, And anyone that had the complaint that the female characters in Frozen suffered from “same face” really couldn’t complain here. Honey, Go Go, and Aunt Cass all had distinct looks. The story got a little predictable at times, but it was nothing that ruined the experience. I think my biggest problem, if I had any really, was the obsession Disney seems to have with death being the motivation behind their characters.
Overall, great movie, my son was pumped throughout. The fist bump gag got me every time, and the stinger on the end after the credits was a nice little nod to Marvel. I’m looking forward to more Disney movies now than I have in a long, long time.
Thanks – Geoff
