Hi Joel, and Stephen,

I’ve just been listening to Episode 503 (Excellent, as always.), and a couple of things elbowed my brain cells out of the way.

Firstly, as you were talking about the renovation videos, I was wondering if you had come across the UK show Grand Designs? Some of them are extensive renovations, but a lot of them are new, one off builds, and usually very different architecturally. Each show follows the family from start to finish. Some of the designs are gobsmacking. (Though not always to my taste. 😁)

Secondly, I was interested in both of your thoughts on Affinity… I’ve only just started to use it. I came from twenty-odd years of using the Corel Graphics Suite, and what limited time I’ve had to play with it (Affinity) I was most impressed. I haven’t had much time to “dig deep” but it seems to be very capable.]

Thirdly, Light & Magic. I haven’t had the chance to see this yet, but, if you’re a reader, may I recommend The Making Of Star Wars, The Definitive Story Behind The Original Film by J. W. Rinzler. It’s about as detailed as you can get, and is largely written from in-depth interviews with a lot of the people involved in getting ILM started.

Anyway, keep up the good work, and I’ll see you on stream! 😁

Regards,

Miles
